Toronto, ON – China sent its top medical students to Baycrest to learn best practices in geriatric care recently. The students and faculty of Peking Union Medical College took part in a two-week Observership that taught the essentials of geriatrics.
Students participated in individual and group physician observations and attended lectures on powerful topics such as psychiatric issues in long-term care, ethics in geriatric care and Montessori Methods for dementia, along with tours of Baycrest’s Innovation, Technology and Design (ITD) Lab, the Terraces residence, and our partner organizations the University of Toronto and Schlegel Village of Humber Heights.
